I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thalia Homestay and was completely blown away by the exceptional level of care and hospitality provided by the family who runs the establishment. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a cherished member of their family, with Thalia herself going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and happiness throughout my stay. One aspect that truly stood out to me was the personal touch in communication—I am deaf, and Thalia made a special effort to communicate with me through writing, making me feel incredibly welcomed and understood. The cozy rooms, though simple, provided a peaceful night's sleep before my exploration of Ijen, thanks to the comfortable bed and serene atmosphere. Thalia and her husband were not only helpful in arranging tours and transportation but also shared invaluable local tips, such as recommending a fantastic seafood restaurant in the area. Thalia Homestay exceeded all of my expectations, offering not only a comfortable stay but a truly heartwarming experience that I will always cherish. I left feeling grateful for the genuine kindness and genuine care shown by the hosts, and I cannot wait to return to this lovely oasis of warmth and hospitality in the future.
